dirty 30

so i had an amazing time last night with my girls! we went out to celebrate my birthday. we started at one of my favorite restaurants here: ALEXANDER. it's a greek restaurant. and while we were there, the server gave us a couple of free shots, and a table of guys bought us a round of shots and i got some free birthday champagne! i should have known that was just a sneak peak into the rest of my evening.

we stopped by a bar that was around the corner from the restaurant call KK's. it was smokey and the guys were creepy, so we bolted! we drove to grafenwoehr to a bar called Ed's. we walked in, and it was a total sausage fest. there wasn't anyone on the dancefloor, but we stayed, bought a round of shots and grabbed a table. then the drinks started appearing. random guys were buying my table rounds of drinks.

this blog has been taking me a while to post... i've been a little bummed out because i thought i lost my camera. but guess what! i just found it! :) i just posted pics to my fb. now i just have to find my friend's wallet!

anyway...my birthday was amazing! so glad i could spend it with a bunch of wonderful and gorgeous girls!!!

we're like the united colors of bennetton. hahaha..

let it snow!!

omg! the weather is crazy here! well, not so crazy. it's just snowing and freezing. the roads are scary. right now it's just snow flurries, but i still have to go to work tomorrow and this isn't looking good.

it's making for a very pretty landscape though. here's a picture of what it looks like right in front of my house...

other than that, everything is going pretty well. it's nice that the only thing that worries me are road conditions! :)

i've been missing my husband a lot lately. i guess since it's definitely cuddling weather, i'm missing him more than usual. APRIL cannot get here fast enough! it'll be nice to finally be back in the states where stores are open 24 hours a day and people speak english...well, it's texas. haha. i'm just going to enjoy the rest of my time here and look forward to the near future! there's so much in store!

a quicky

sorry i'm so terrible at keeping up with this blog. i've been so busy with work and trying to catch up on my rest and keeping up with my husband who is in a completely different timezone. i just have to keep reminding myself that i only have a couple more months of this left and i'll be back in my husband's arms.

it's about 0400 right now, i'm about to start my day. i took a shower last night so that i wouldn't have to do it first thing in the morning, and so that i can take my time to get ready. i don't feel rested, but i'll be okay.

two days ago, i had to go in and see my 1SG (first sergeant) about getting a written counseling about being in my re-enlistment window. i laughed through the whole thing. i'm getting out. i need to make my husband my priority, not that he never was. it's just time to really focus on my marriage. we've been married for 2 years, and we've lived together for only 6 months in those 2 years. by the time i get out and move to texas, we will have been separated for 5 months! aaah, the life of an army wife.

alright, i gotta get out of bed. it's friday! i hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed day!

life is what you make it

today went pretty well. i got off work really early and relaxed all day. i finally caught up on some sleep. i haven't been sleeping well lately. i have a history of sleep deprivation, but it's been really bad recently. i might get 2-3 hours of sleep at night, but it's not continuous. so, by the time 8AM hits, i've been up for about 10 hours. it was brutal. but in the last two days, i've been a little better.

i got home around 1030AM and fell asleep around noon. i woke up at 545PM thinking it was 545AM! i was freaking out for about 15 minutes until i realized what time it really was. i have to be at work by 6AM. so yeah, it threw me off a little bit.

i made a lunch date for tomorrow afternoon with a couple of my girlfriends. i haven't been around at work because of this tasking, so it'll be nice to hang out. even if it's for a couple of hours. AAANNNDDD, if i get off work early again tomorrow, we're going shopping! i need it so bad. i also need to get my hair redone and my bangs re-cut.

i got news that my husband just crashed his brand new toy: a harley davidson fat boy. it's his dream toy and unfortunately, he was hit by a car. my husband is okay. his bike, not so much. HD has the bike now, and will be doing repairs. COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS! it could've been much worse. he's pretty upset about it, but at least he's not hurt!!!

i also ordered flowers for my sister-in-law's birthday! her favorite flower is the tulip, so i got her a huge bouquet of them. i hope she loves them. :)

i'm going to end my day with some chinese take out then get ready for bed. my life is so boring these days. hopefully by the time this detail is over, i'll have some plans to put a little pep in my step. :) i can't wait to get to texas!!!!

this is a picture of me and my two best friends on new year's eve. i miss them like CRAZY!!!! in a couple of months, we'll all finally be in the same COUNTRY. :)

life is what you make it. if you sit and complain and not see the beauty that surrounds you, then life will be miserable. why dwell on the little things that make you unhappy when you're surrounded with more that could make you smile? stay blessed.

busy busy busy

there's so much going on in the next couple of months. lots of major decisions as well. but i can only face what's right in front of me. i can sit and try to plan out the future, but in reality, it's always changing.


as of the 5th of january, i was put on a tasking that requires me to be at work from 0545 until 1830. makes for a very long day and not a lot of time to rest. oh, and NO weekends for the next month. it's okay though. it's the army, and it could be worse. when this tasking is over, i'll be back at my unit and going through the process of getting out of the army. i'm excited, anxious and nervous about the whole process!

like i mentioned before, there will be some major decisions for me to make in the coming months. i'm sure that i will figure everything out in time, i just hate NOT knowing exactly what's going to happen. but i know i definitely want to go back to school and i have to start applying.

this is a picture of my sister and me during my birthday party while i was home on leave. i miss her so, so much! i try to talk to my sister everyday. it's a little difficult to plan a good time to talk since i'm 9 hours ahead in germany and she's on the west coast. but i find that i can skype her while i'm getting ready for work (at 4am!) and she's on her lunch. so it works out.
sorry that this wasn't so exciting. it's just a quick update. i'm going to try to blog everyday, but where i'm at, we don't have internet. and by the time i get home, i'm usually too tired to do anything. i will try harder!!! hope everyone is having a blessed day!

poppin' my blog cherry!

hi guys and gals! welcome to my blog. as of right now, nothing crazy going on. this is going to be a way for me to blog about what's going on in my life. i'm transitioning to be a civilian again. YES, i'm in the military and i've served 6 years and i'm ready to get out and be back with my hubby. right now, we are stationed in two different places; i'm in germany while he's in texas. just a couple more months, BABY!!!

my little introduction: i'm 29 years old, married (duh!), i have 2 bros and a sis and my parents are STILL married. they just celebrated their 33rd anniversary YESTERDAY! (awww! <3) i LOVE my family. like i mentioned earlier i'm in the military. i serve in the world's greatest ARMY as a combat medic. my brothers are also serving in the military. my brother, jason is in the army as a mechanic and my other brother, vince is in the air force as a computer/communications tech. my dad also served in the army for 26 years as a mechanic. AANNNDDD my amazing husband is also in the army and he is a medic. yes, lots of military in my family! but i couldn't be more proud.

again, i'm transitioning out of the army and back into the civilian world. i have some plans, but we'll see how it all goes. i'm excited to document my experiences and hopefully provide pictures to go along with these words. hope everyone is having a blessed day!
